Attorney Lee Nelms has been practicing law in the Richmond area since 2008. Prior to that, she was self-employed in Nottoway County, Virginia.
She has been licensed to practice law in Virginia since 1999. Her practice is centered primarily on family law, including divorce, spousal support, child support, custody, and visitation; criminal law; traffic; and real estate. Lee is a certified guardian ad litem in Virginia, as well as a certified mediator. She enjoys representing clients all throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Lee was also previously employed as one of three assistant ethics counsel at the Virginia State Bar, the state agency responsible for regulating attorney conduct in Virginia. There she served as the liaison to the advertising committee, responsible for overseeing and regulating lawyer advertising in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Lee also provided legal ethics advice to lawyers via the agency’s ethics hotline.
Lee received her undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degree from Gettysburg College and her Juris Doctor from the Widener University School of Law.
